Heather Tulloch, BTEC, BA (Hons)

Heather was brought up on the Shetland Isles, a small group of Scottish Islands in the North Sea between Scotland and Norway. Heather moved from the Shetland Isles to England at the age of 17 to study Finance and Business with Agriculture and continued to further her education receiving a 1st Class Honours degree in Management. She immigrated to Nova Scotia with her family in 2009.

In the UK, Heather has worked in Sales and Marketing within the Agricultural Sector. She spent 10 years working at The Robert Gordon University Business School in Aberdeen, Scotland. Heather then took up the position of Director with Born2run Ltd., also located in Aberdeen.

Since moving to Nova Scotia, Heather became accredited with Insights Discovery and is certified as a practitioner in Equine Experiential Education. Heather, with her two partners, has launched a new innovative business, Unbridled Leadership Ltd. This company, designed to work in the business sector, combines Equine Assisted Learning with Insights Discovery Learning and Development Systems.

Heather’s experience with horses started at a young age. She grew up around horses and ponies at the family riding centre and Shetland Pony Stud farm. In her younger days, she successfully competed throughout the UK and Europe, racing and showing Shetland Ponies. Heather has maintained her interest in horses throughout her life and is enjoying her two children now picking up the reins.

Heather believes exercise is important and has competed in running at distances from 5k to 42k. She recently has taken up cycling and swimming. Heather involves herself in the community as a mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and a Board Member for the 'Festival of the Tartans' in New Glasgow. She billets a young hockey player for the Weeks Crushers Junior A Hockey Team.
